Went in today, and had a great meal. The burger was so soft and delicious, the fries were perfectly crispy, and the service was excellent. The owner is also so attentive and hands on. Definitely recommend

Absolutely amazing food! My teen and I stopped in for a late lunch on vacation and both got the specials; Halibut sandwich and calamari sandwich. The flavors were bold and fresh, and the fries were tasty as well. Carmel is full of lovely little restaurants and this cute cozy French cafe is now one of our favorites.

Can't go wrong here. Inviting place with great service and tasty food. Portions are excellent and the price is very appropriate specially considering the place. Also, they serve a real good and authentic espresso and NOT the horrible Starbucks one.

We had a delicious late lunch at Patisserie Bossiere today (Friday of Presidents week). We've eaten here before on several of our Carmel visits but it had been many years. I'm happy to say that it was as good, maybe better, than we remembered. I will say that I wonder if the name of the restaurant is misleading -- there is a bakery counter where you can buy wonderful looking desserts, scones, muffins to go. But walk around the bookcase and you will find the cutest French restaurant. Another plus here is that they server all day, unlike some Carmel restaurants that shut down between 2:30-5pm etc. Today we enjoyed the blue crab salad with shrimp and fresh veggies (the giant radish pieces were amazing) and the scrumptious Shepherd's Pie -- so good! They have a nice wine list with very reasonable prices by the glass. We shared a "French Rhum cake" to top off our meal, really moist and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant -- our server was also very attentive and nice.

Our group of eight couples travel to Carmel annually and spend most of a week dining, shopping and relaxing. It is sometimes a challenge to find a restaurant able to accommodate us. Patisserie Boisserie has done so twice with a warm welcome. We were seated at two tables of six and one of four. The wait staff was on point bringing water and bread service. Soon after, we ordered our wine and perused the menu. The entrees we chose: maple leaf duck two ways, salmon in parchment, beef bourguignon, halibut, filet mignon, Coquille St. Jacques and escargot. The entrees were delivered in a timely manner and beverages offered and refreshed throughout the evening. Since their bakery is on premises and irresistible, several chose from the lovely offerings. The interior is well appointed and quite charming. Our group will definitely return to this lovely restaurant.

My family used to eat at a French pastry bakery. We missed the French bakeries from Paris and London, but we were able to find them in the USA. We were satisfied to eat at the cute French cafes. The service was always nice to us.

IMHO Our friends always make it a point to stop into Patisserie Boissiere every time they visit Carmel to buy some yummy pastries. Last week we joined them and opted to have lunch! We were welcomed with a smile and told to choose the table of our choice. The quaint dining room was beautifully decorated for Christmas. My husband chose three pastries for take-out, but the lady brought them to our table on plates. We were happy to share with our friends! The pear tart was amazing!!! We ordered the Crispy Calamari Steak Sandwich, $18, and the Chicken on Brioche, $18. These sandwiches were big enough to share with our spouses, which we did! I couldn't even finish my portion. The French fries which accompanied my sandwich were fantastic! My friends also received a big bowl of French onion soup by mistake, but they opted to accept it anyway. Food was excellent, the ambiance enchanting, and service friendly and available! My only complaint was that the chairs are a tad small and not very comfortable for my big American butt. LOL However, that won't keep me from coming back the next time we're in Carmel-by-the-sea! Thank you, Patisserie Boissiere!!!

Yesterday's lunch with mom at Patisserie Boissiere Restaurant on Mission in Carmel was quite satisfying. We stopped in at 12:30 and were lucky enough to snag a nice table for two right by the Christmas tree. So festive! By the time we left, there was a line out the door. It was a beautiful day and Carmel was bustling on Saturday afternoon. Because the portions are so large we decided to share lunch. We chose the Croissant Campagnard, which is ham, swiss cheese and a velvety bechamel sauce baked into a flaky croissant. Mom wanted a salad so that was the side we chose (salad or soup du jour are the options, but you can sub onion soup for an additional charge). The salad came with a delicious creamy vinagrette. I can't eat at this restaurant with out having their French onion soup. It's the best I've had in the area, at least since Fifi's Cafe in PG closed. So I ordered what I thought would be a cup only to find out I had ordered a bowl. Everything was delicious as expected. I will say the bowl of soup proved to be too much and I could not finish. Lesson learned for next time. I think I've eaten my weekly allowance of cheese in just one lunch! I just love the charm of this little place! Service was wonderful as always.
